Beginning January 1, 2011, banks will no longer accept Federal Tax Deposit Coupons. Instead, each company must pay their federal withholding and federal unemployment taxes online using the government’s Electronic Federal Tax Payment System.
We just wanted to make this aware to all our clients that pay their federal tax payments themselves on a monthly basis. You will need to go onto the Electronic Federal Tax Payment System website, www.eftps.com and enroll. You will then be able to log on each month & enter in your payment and it will automatically be drawn from your business bank account.
